Warren's Fast Fur Shader currently supports the following AudioLink features:
- Emission Map and Decals
- Hue Shift cycling
- Hair movement
Main AudioLink Settings[edit | edit source]
The main AudioLink settings are located in the "Special -> AudioLink" tab:
Master Settings[edit | edit source]
Master Enable enables or disabled ALL AudioLink features.
Master Strength affects the strength of ALL AudioLink features.
NOTE: Each AudioLink feature also has its own separate enable, so the Master Enable won't do anything until you enable at least one feature.
Dynamic Layers[edit | edit source]
Dynamic layers apply AudioLink effects as moving layers, starting at the hair's roots and moving outwards towards the tips:
Dynamic Layers Strength controls the visibility of the dynamic layers
Dynamic Layers Speed controls how fast the effect moves from the roots towards the tips
Dynamic Layers Lateral applies a parallax effect when viewing the fur at an angle, causing the movement of the layers to wrap-around curved surfaces (arms, legs, torso, etc...)
NOTE: By default, Dynamic Layers are enabled for Decals, but not for the Emission Map, but this can be changed in the settings for those features.
Fixed Layers[edit | edit source]
Fixed layers apply AudioLink effects directly, without any movement along the length of the hairs:
Fixed Layers Filtering controls how smoothly the effect fades in/out. Low values will appear to strobe, while high values will fade out gently.
Fixed Layers Tips Strength controls the visibility at the hair tips
Fixed Layers Middle Strength controls the visibility at the hair mid-points
Fixed Layers Root Strength controls the visibility at the hair roots
Fixed Layers Skin Strength controls the visibility at the skin
NOTE: By default, Fixed Layers are enabled for both Decals and the Emission Map, but this can be changed in the settings for those features.
Show Test Colours[edit | edit source]
Show Test Colours simulates an AudioLink signal for the Dynamic and Fixed layers, which is useful for testing while in the Unity Editor.
NOTE: Each AudioLink feature has its own separate enable, so Show Test Colours won't show anything until you enable at least one feature.
Emission Map and Decals[edit | edit source]
AudioLink can add extra Emission to the Emission Map and/or the Decals. Both behave essentially the same, and have the same options:
AudioLink Layers determines if the Emission Map/Decal should render the AudioLink Dynamic Layers, Fixed Layers, or both.
Hue Shift Cycling[edit | edit source]
AudioLink can control hue shift according to the frequency bands being played:
NOTE: Show Test Colours currently doesn't affect AudioLink Hue Shift Cycling.
